A reflection on the different inner states of the spirit.

Battle between good and evil

Playing with form and texture, I wanted to create contrast and texture between the snake and the architectural shapes of the bent wood. An exercise in detailed pen work, this piece is drawn on Strathmore Textured Bristol.

Chung's painting

A mixed media piece for a friend, this painting contains three seperate frames, a christmas ornament, beads, and wire. It is layered with acrylic paint, latex spray paint and gold paint.

Once upon a spider, Part II

A version of the famous children's tale, Puss in Boots. Puss, in this version of the story, is a spider. The whole story takes place in an insect-land instead of the fantasy world of the original. The two illustrations were created through a process of layering gathered collage materials.

This series of paintings represents different things that Jesus said throughout the gospels. Often, these are very short parables or side notes illustrating another point. They are meant to illustrate the story and explain it in a new or modern way. John 3:17

Sometimes you just draw what is inside of you. Sometimes you don't understand it any more than anyone else.

Green spirit

This large atmospheric painting explores the use of a paintbrush and palette knife to create textures. It uses green, black, and white and focal triangles to draw the eye.

Ocean stars

An experimentation on the use of layered colours and pallete knife texture, this multi-stage painting started with a thick, acrylic texture base made with a soft knife. After the texture dried it was highlighted and lowlighted with silver and black.
